Duck Tacos

This is our absolutely favorite spot in LBK to dine and to bring out of town friends to. First the atmosphere is delightful, staff is kind and attentive without being overbearing. Second and absolutely what sets this place apart is the incredible menu that delivers with a punch EVERY TIME!! From the sharables to their brunch not once did it disappoint which I cannot say to any other restaurant in Lubbock. They offer refreshing takes to each dish, presented beautifully and an exciting treat to your taste buds. One of my favorite dishes is their duck tacos , not even in Paris did I enjoy my duck as much as I did the two times I have ordered this plate. A treat to come and be delighted over and over.

Harvest Salad

We have only been to Claraboya three times but we work to try new things every time. This little salad has a lot going on but our favorite part of this little plate is the Goat Cheese Croquette. I know, shocker. A three inch croquette of creamy and tangy goodness is the perfect topper for this artfully composed and lovingly dressed tower of veggies and jalapeno bacon and fruit and nuts.

Salmon Street Tacos

Love the blackened salmon tacos. I have a hard time ordering salmon at other restaurants but I crave these tacos. Definitely filling without weighing you down for post lunch work.

Smoked Pork Belly & Fried Green Tomatoes

If you appreciate good food then you absolutely must eat at Claraboya. We discovered this restaurant a few years ago - not too long after they opened - during an overnight stay on a road trip. Now we make it a must-stop as often as we can. Every single meal has been mouthwateringly fantastic and this most recent visit was no exception. Fried green tomatoes with pork belly Calamari steak Goat cheese croquettes Cookie crumble bread pudding For breakfast - hue is rancheros for him and avocado toast with a poached egg for me Seriously - so so good! Please do not miss out, you will find yourself with a new favorite.

Jordi's German Chocolate Cake

My husband's favorite cake is German Chocolate cake. I have made many different German Chocolate Cake recipes through the years trying to find the perfect recipe for him. I am done. I need try no more. Claraboya has his favorite German Chocolate Cake. We ate all we could of this very generous slice when we were dining there and took most of it home. It took three of us a few days to slice delicious slivers from the serving. You can tell it is a scratch cake. The filling and icing must have been built and cooked on the stovetop. It is everything you would every want in a German Chocolate cake. Lots of chocolate, plenty of pecans, all the coconut to balance the depth of the chocolate. It truly is a family heirloom. Praise the Lord for Jordi and her recipe.

Smoked Pork Belly & Fried Green Tomatoes

Everyone is raving about the Pork Belly - and it IS Great - but that "plate" it sits upon. That fried green tomato. It is no small thing to serve a fried green tomato that crispy, that delectable. Yes, yes . . . Pork Belly, yum yum yum, but the whole plate is over the top because Chef knows what the counterbalance needs to be. So, so good.

Bison Filet Meuniere

Claraboya is a must. From the appetizers (fried green tomatoes and pork belly) to the salads (both the Caesar and Claraboya) and the steaks (filet and the new bone-in ribeye), you will not be disappointed. I don't mince words about amazing food. Ask for Riley. He's fantastic. And watch out for the chef. He so kindly comes out to check on you and his phenomenal creations. 872/10 recommend.
